A progressive, interconnected community of hygiene professionals leading preventative healthcare innovations and promoting oral health equity across the High Desert region.
Our mission is to improve public health by advancing the art and science of dental hygiene, delivering high-quality continuing education, and empowering dental hygienists across Central New Mexico. Adhering to strict professional codes, our association supports high standards of evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and interprofessional healthcare collaboration. High Desert Dental Hygienists Association is governed by an executive board of elected local dental hygienists dedicated to serving the profession and the community — with an Executive Board managing treasury functions, membership engagement, CE event planning, and state delegation, and a Community Outreach Committee coordinating volunteer deployment, student mentoring programs, and regional health fair logistics.
High Desert Dental Hygienists Association is a professional membership organization serving registered dental hygienists (RDHs), hygiene educators, and students across Bernalillo, Cibola, Valencia, and Torrance counties. A component society of the New Mexico Dental Hygienists' Association (NMDHA) and the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA), we form an essential network for clinical excellence and professional advocacy in Central New Mexico.
